How to Use (Standard Workshop Method)
Basic guideline for a typical 12V 60Ah–100Ah automotive battery load test:
- Fully charge the battery or ensure it is at normal operating level.
- Connect the tester clamps firmly: Red to + and Black to –.
- Check the open-circuit voltage on the digital meter before loading.
- Press and hold the load switch to apply the 200A load for about 10–15 seconds.
- Observe the voltage drop and health indication on the meter: if it stays in the “Good” zone, the battery can handle cranking.
- Release the load and allow the tester to cool between tests, especially in hot weather.
